The people behind NextPath Capital
Our team
Daniel Ścigała
Daniel spent over a decade working in the financial markets and has been active as an entrepreneur in the real economy for the last 10 years.
For many years he built and developed private banking and wealth management operations at Poland's largest financial institutions, including mBank and BNP Paribas. During that time he worked closely with business owners and executives of large enterprises, helping them manage their wealth and plan investments.
Before founding NextPath Capital he ran an industrial group employing over 2,000 people.
Daniel is a graduate of the University of Warsaw and the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and completed the International Executive Programme at INSEAD.
A cycling enthusiast who considers the bike the most comfortable means of transport in any season, a runner who sees physical fitness as support for inner balance, and a family man who takes long walks with his family whatever the weather. In his spare time he reads history books, continually discovering that humanity stubbornly repeats the same mistakes — only on an ever larger scale.
Tomasz Pupka-Lipiński
Tomasz has spent many years analysing companies and executing investment projects.
He gained his experience at brokerage houses and investment funds, where he was able to develop in-depth knowledge of companies across different industries and how they operate.
Eight years ago he moved into business, focusing on strategy development and financial management. He takes particular satisfaction in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that genuinely increase enterprise value.
He studied at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and at Bocconi University in Milan. He is one of very few people in Poland to hold both the international CFA and CIIA charters, as well as a Polish investment adviser and securities broker licence.
Privately he focuses on activity and development — he systematically improves his times in the pool, and on the tennis court he trains concentration and consistency. He applies a similar mindset to grand strategy games, which are built on long-term planning. He finds balance in reading biographies, searching for inspiration and recurring patterns of success.
